I Lost My Head
Marginal Utility, Philadelphia PA
2015

Ashley Wick’s installation I LOST MY HEAD explores the connection between love, longing, natural phenomena, and fear. In Wick’s animations and sculptures, she brings to life and anthropomorphizes disembodied body parts, animals, and insects to tell her story through song and stream of consciousness story telling.

I LOST MY HEAD will be an ever-growing installation through the duration of the exhibition. In quest of finding the said LOST HEAD, new animations and sculptures will be added to the space to continue the ever-present journey of discovery and conceptualization of [life’s events]-within the installation.
